For about a month, I have to work a night shift (6pm-6am) starting today. In order to get my body clock prepared, I’ve decided to become Nocturnal for about 2 days. Monday night I went to AC and stayed at Harrah’s in this wonderful comp room…
Tuesday night, I just watched some movies, surfed the web, and took a small nap. At about 3:30am, I woke up, turned on my TV, and discovered a program on BET that was pretty disturbing. Most of you may know that BET is NOTORIOUS for showing Tel-Evangelist programs when everyone is fast asleep. I’ve seen most of them some time or another and basically shake my head at these late night “Prophets”. I am a Christian and I know where my faith stands but I can’t co-sign with what these people are doing. It just seems like a scam, maybe even false prophets, who knows. Let me show you what I’m talking about…
Everyone, meet Pastor Kearny Thomas Jr (http://www.kearneythomas.org). This cat who has a strong resemblance to James from “Good Times” (aka Mr. McDowell from Coming to America), is on BET at 4am hustling these red handkerchiefs that he dubs the “Blood of Jesus Prayer Cloths”. He claims that if you call and order your “free” cloths, he will go into Spiritual Warfare and BOMBARD the gates of Heaven to get the word that the Lord has for you. Dude, are you kidding me? Are you really kidding me? The sad part is the number of people who actually follow him! Why is it that some of these so called “Pastors, Prophets, Evangelists, etc…” always say “God told me to tell you…”? Dude, why wouldn’t God just tell me himself? Like c’mon!
I know this may seem like a serious post; it is. BUT you know the comedic aspect is right around the corner. I think a visual aid is most fitting for this post so I want you to check out these videos I recorded. Note: May want to turn your speakers UP since the sound isn’t all that great.
Now I want you to imagine you woke up to BET at 4am because you had on 106 & Park earlier in the day. Here is what you will experience…
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Did anyone crack up when my man screamed every time he said “GAWD”! If that isn’t some fakeness, I don’t know what is. Now I’m watching this and listening to what he’s saying and then out of no where, he decides to show some footage from a Holiday Inn Ballroom he spoke at. Check it out…
Did that just happen? Did he say your legs are 2 different lengths and the short one was growing as he spoke and the other was trying to catch up? Did that lady really just believe him? You know the only person who’s body part grew as they spoke was Pinnochio, and he lied to make it grow. See the connection?
If exposing this guy makes me such a bad guy then shoot me, but the fact that he takes donations for the work he’s doing and those prayer cloths, makes me believe he’s a fraud. It seems like he wants you to believe he’s the one who can heal and save you and that God has given him that power to do so. If that’s true, then good luck Kearny…
I hope those aren’t donations? If so this picture really makes him seem like a crook.

Dude, take yo ass to bed! LOL, i ain’t gonna lie i was cracking up when he said the one leg was longer, I damn near spit my coffee out.

Hahaha, I saw him before. He’s hilarious. that clip with him saying the leg was growing right in front of everyone and the lady believing it had me crackin up. It’s a shame that kind of stuff is allowed on tv. it’s even more a shame that people fall for it.
