The Vacation Series: Virgina Beach

Whats Up Everyone? As summer approaches so does the vacations. I plan on doing a lot of traveling this summer so I decided to document my travels so you can see the many places I go and the things I do while there. Maybe it will inspire you to get up off your couch and explore the world in which we live? I don’t know. All I know is I can’t force you to take some trips, even if only for a day or weekend, but don’t end up sitting up in your room like Brandy and wasting the summer away. So with that said, here is the first installment of The Vacation Series!

Good ‘ol Virginia Beach. I ended up here because one of my best friends from high school has a condo right down the street from the beach and I told him I would always come check him out. Well, it was a last minute thing but Mothers Day weekend, Dilemma and I hopped in the whip and took the 5 hour trip down there.

Even though this was a vacation, you best believe Dilemma didn’t take a vacation. One of the hardest working producers I know, I picked him up from his studio on the way to Va Beach and he continued right where he left off when we got down there. Twooth, a producer/DJ, had the ill set up so there was definitely some collaborations going on. This next clip shows you what happens when Twooth chops a sample and Dilemma works his magic…

Of course, we did have some time to play so we definitely hit this spot up in Norfolk, Va, Guadalajara, just to chill, grab some drinks, and unwind. If you are ever in there area, check them out. The DJ was on point, drinks were great (they had the Fat Tuesday frozen Margaritas), and the atmosphere was lovely. And get this, Valet parking was only $7. Talk about southern hospitality!

We left early Sunday morning so that we could spend Mother’s Day with our moms and we definitely made it back in time for dinner. Definitely a nice little scenic drive away from all the boringness of 95 south. Plus you get to cross the 18.2 mile Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel into VA Beach so it was definitely a nice time. So next time you are looking for a weekend getaway, check out Va Beach…You wont be disappointed!
